EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney)

EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) is a multi-arts space for the 21st Century. In September 2018, the team behind Village Underground in Shoreditch reopened a derelict cinema in Dalston. The former Savoy Cinema, built in 1936, has been given a new lease of life as a cultural centre comprising of three spaces: EartH Hall, EartH Theatre, and EartH Kitchen.

The venue prioritises artistic programming that is broad, global, open and rooted in the highest quality artistic pursuit. Their aim is that people from all walks of life to meet, listen, watch, dance and enjoy all that artistic endeavour and creativity has to offer.

Like all venues, COVID has meant the venue has been forced to cancel the majority of it’s public shows since March. 3Dspaces partnered with EartH to create interactive 3D tours of their spaces to allow them to continue marketing them, even during lockdowns.

“The 3D virtual tours have really smashed it in helping us speed up the process of winning bookings, even whilst we’re still in the middle of the pandemic. Whilst we’ve had to close for public events, we’ve been able to rent the space to some film and fashion shoots during the restrictions. Instead of us having to wait until the director is free to come see the space, now we just send them a link to 3D model and usually they are happy to sign it off straight away. Now all people have to do is one final tech visit before the booking”

- Bay Sisouphanh (Business Development Manager)

The 3Dspaces interactive tours allow users to wander through and view the venue in full 360 video from the comfort of their own desktop, tablet or VR with Google Cardboard. The virtual tours also allow you to take physical measurements in real time, or even export the 3D data into CAD for the design team to utilise as part of the design process.

EartH Theatre

The Theatre has a capacity of 650 seats, or 750 with a standing area. When the team took over the building, the Theatre hadn’t been touched since it screened it’s final film in 1984 and they’ve retained all of its glorious, original features. Juxtaposed against this faded grandeur, the space is fitted out with state-of-the-art AV including a 360° L-ISA PA system and can play host to talks, conferences, AGMs, press launches and screenings.
